ミーガン・モロニー、ジミー・ファロン司会の米人気番組で披露した「Medicine」の映像が公開

ジョージア州出身のカントリー・シンガーでソングライターのMegan Moroney（ミーガン・モロニー）がジミー・ファロン司会の米人気番組『The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon』に出演し、最新アルバム『Cloud 9』から「Medicine」を披露した際の映像が公開となった。

前作から約1年半ぶりとなった3枚目のスタジオ・アルバム『Cloud 9』はタイトル曲で幕を開け、その後にはゴールド認定シングル「6 Months Later」や、「Beautiful Things」といったカントリーラジオヒット曲が続く構成となっている。さらに、エド・シーランを迎えた「I Only Miss You」、そしてカントリー界の実力派ケイシー・マスグレイヴスとの共演曲「Bells & Whistles」も収録されており、ファンにとって大きなサプライズとなった。

また、PEOPLE StyleWatch誌2025年ホリデー号のカバーストーリーで約束されていた通り、長年ファンに愛され、SNSで繰り返し話題となってきた楽曲「Wedding Dress」も収録。さらに“Emo Cowgirl”として新たな一歩を踏み出す本作では、「Wedding Dress」と「Table for Two」の2曲でミーガン・モロニー自身が共同プロデューサーを務めている。アルバムは最新の米ビルボード200で初登場1位を獲得し、ミーガン・モロニーにとって初の首位獲得となった。自身のインスタグラムでは「世界最高のファンの皆さん、ストリーミング、視聴、繋がり、そして思いやりに感謝します。ツアーで皆さんと一緒にこれらの曲を叫ぶのが待ちきれません。」とコメントしている。

今年5月には『THE CLOUD 9 TOUR』がスタート予定。全49公演に及ぶ国際ヘッドラインツアーで、アメリカ公演は発売と同時に45万枚以上のチケットが完売するなど、今年最も注目されるライブイベントのひとつとなっている。ツアーは北米、ヨーロッパ、英国の主要アリーナを巡り、シカゴのUnited Center（6月2日・3日）、アトランタのState Farm Arena（6月8日・9日）、ボストンのTD Garden（7月6日・7日）、ニューヨークのBarclays Center（7月9日）、ロサンゼルスのCrypto.com Arena（8月7日・8日）、トロントのScotiabank Arena（6月20日）などを予定。5月29日、オハイオ州コロンバスのSchottenstein Center公演から開幕し、現在10月までの日程が発表されている。
